Captains who run these waters

Our crews live the Maltese summer. They know when to leave Valletta, where the wind drops near Comino, and the quiet anchor off Gozo the day boats miss. Ask them anything.

People Also Ask For

What is the best yacht charter in Malta for first time guests?

A motor yacht in the fifty to seventy foot range works for most first time charters. It runs fast enough to cover Comino and a short Gozo lunch in one day, holds enough shade for ten guests, and ships with a captain plus a deckhand. Tell us your group size and we recommend the right size for the day.

How much does a private yacht charter in Malta cost?

Day charters start at 1,000 euros for a 28 foot Axopar and run up to 11,000 euros for a 86 foot Sunseeker. The 124 foot Tansu Caladan starts at 90,000 euros for a low season week. Every yacht card on the fleet page shows a real price for the season.

Can I rent a yacht in Malta without a sailing licence?

Yes. Every Malta yacht charter we run includes a fully licensed captain. You step on board, the captain handles the boat, and the day is yours. We do not run bareboat charters in Malta because we want the same crew quality on every booking.

Where do yacht charters depart from in Malta?

Most charters leave from Valletta Waterfront, Sliema marina, or Buġibba. Some boats work from Mġarr in Gozo or from St Paul's Bay. We confirm the exact dock the day before, with parking and arrival instructions on WhatsApp.

Can we sail to Comino and the Blue Lagoon in one day?

Yes. The crossing from Sliema or Buġibba to Comino is around twenty minutes by motor yacht. A typical day takes in the Blue Lagoon early, Crystal Lagoon mid morning, lunch on board at San Niklaw Bay, and a slow afternoon along the Gozo cliffs before the run home.

What happens if the weather is bad on our charter day?

Safety comes first. If the captain calls the day off because of wind or sea state, we move the booking to another date in the same season at no extra cost. If we cannot find a date that works for you, we refund the deposit in full.

How long does a yacht charter day in Malta last?

A full day charter runs around eight hours, usually ten in the morning to six in the afternoon. Half day charters run four hours. Sunset cruises run three to four hours in the late afternoon. Multi day charters and overnights are available on yachts with cabins.

Do I pay a deposit to confirm the booking?

Yes. A fifty percent deposit confirms the yacht and the dates. The balance settles before you board on the day of the charter. The deposit is fully refundable if the captain cancels for weather or technical reasons.

What payment methods do you accept for Malta yacht charter bookings?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, SEPA, and PayPal for the deposit. Card payments include Stripe protection. For superyacht bookings we also accept bank transfer and select cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT.

Are pets allowed on a Malta yacht charter?

Small dogs are welcome on most yachts in the fleet with prior notice to the owner. Larger pets are decided case by case. Tell us the breed and the size when you book and we confirm before the day.

Is a tip for the crew expected at the end of the day?

Tips are not mandatory but they are common. The standard in Malta is around ten percent of the charter rate, paid in cash or by card to the captain at the end of the day. The crew shares it equally.

What should I bring on board for the day?

Bring sunscreen, a wide hat, a light layer for the breeze, and a phone charger. Towels, cold water, and ice are on board. If you want a specific drink, snack, or playlist, tell us in advance and we have it ready when you step on the boat.
